Short-window crypto markets

How repeated Up or Down markets differ from perpetuals.

Reviewed .

One question, one window#

A short-window market asks a fixed question about two observations: for example, whether Bitcoin's specified price is higher at the end of a five-minute window than at the start. The exact price source, timestamps and tie rule belong in the market rules.

Each window is a separate market with its own opening, closing and settlement. A five-minute filter does not mean a market is available for every five-minute period.

What rolling means#

Rolling deployment means creating the next scheduled market as the current window progresses. Your position stays in the window you selected; it does not automatically move into the next one.

These are not perpetual contracts. There is no indefinite position, funding-rate payment or leveraged liquidation implied by an Up or Down question. Perpetuals are not offered on RINO.

Before choosing a side#

  • Check the window's start and end times.
  • Read the exact price source and comparison rule.
  • Check what happens when the source is late or unavailable.
  • Review the venue, fees and whether the position can be exited.

A price shown elsewhere, or a live chart from another exchange, may not be the observation specified by the contract.
