Wallets and profile

Connect a wallet, choose the right network and set up your public profile.

Reviewed .

Connect your wallet#

  1. Select Connect in the app.
  2. Choose your installed wallet, or use WalletConnect to connect a compatible mobile wallet when that option is available.
  3. Check the account shown in your wallet before approving the connection.
  4. If prompted, switch to the network named in the app.

Connecting lets RINO show your account. It does not give the app permission to spend your funds. Review each transaction separately in your wallet.

If you have no wallet installed, the connection panel links to supported wallets. Use those official links and keep your recovery phrase private.

Google and email#

Google and email sign-in are available only when enabled for the deployment. These options use an embedded wallet. If an option says it is unavailable, connect an existing wallet instead.

Network and gas#

Transactions need the network's native ETH for gas as well as USDG for a position. Testnet funds and live-network funds are separate. See Wrong network if your balance looks different from what you expected.

Before testnet opens#

Before an announced testnet opening, Connect may show a countdown. You can still browse markets and read the guides.

Your profile#

A profile is optional. Without one, your positions and activity are still yours; they belong to the wallet, not to a name.

Creating one takes:

  • a username of 3 to 24 lowercase letters, digits or underscores, starting with a letter. A short list of names (admin, support, official and the like) is reserved;
  • an optional bio of up to 200 characters;
  • an optional picture — a JPG, PNG or WebP under 5 MB, cropped in your browser to a 160-pixel square before it is sent;
  • an optional referral code, used for attribution only, and only when the profile is first created;
  • a required confirmation that your username, picture, bio and wallet address will be public.

Saving asks your wallet for a signature, not a transaction. There is no fee. The signed request is verified server-side and stored in the profile store; if that store is not connected for the build, the form says so and the save button stays disabled. A saved profile is visible at /app/u/<username>.

Changing your username does not move history: positions, claims and activity stay attached to the wallet that made them.

The account tab#

The profile page has three tabs — positions, activity and account. The account tab is where RINO is locked and unlocked and where USDG balances are read; see RINO token and tiers and Fund with USDG. The dedicated portfolio page shows the same positions with the same components.
