Fund with USDG
Add the right asset on the right network, then check your available balance.
The settlement asset#
Every position on RINO settles in USDG (Global Dollar), an ERC-20 token with six decimals on Robinhood Chain. Nothing else is accepted, and the interface prints the token's address beside the network wherever it asks you to send anything. The mainnet address is listed under Reviewed public contract addresses, together with the date it was verified by reading the token's name, symbol and decimals from the chain.
USDG is not deployed on the testnet. On the testnet stage the product uses a test collateral token with the same six decimals and a faucet that hands out test USDG and a little gas; test USDG has no value and cannot be redeemed.
Before you send#
- Connect the wallet you want to fund.
- Open Deposit and check the network and token address.
- Copy your receiving address or scan its QR code.
- Check the sending wallet uses the same network and USDG token. A QR code alone does not select either one.
- Send a small test amount first. Wait for confirmation and check your balance before sending more.
Keep a little native ETH in the same wallet for transaction fees. You do not need to buy RINO just to hold USDG; RINO locks determine tier benefits and limits.
The deposit panel#
Opening Deposit first asks the server whether deposits are available for you at all, and shows one of three things:
- on a test network, a notice that these are test assets and real funds must not be sent;
- on a public network without an enabled eligibility policy, or from a region the policy excludes, a short explanation and nothing else — browsing markets continues to work;
- otherwise, two tabs, Use Crypto and Use Cash.
Use Crypto#
Use this route only when the app shows it as available. The panel shows:
- the network name and chain id;
- the USDG token contract address;
- a QR code that encodes your wallet address and nothing else — no amount, no token, no chain;
- the same address in full, with a copy button.
Send only USDG, on Robinhood Chain, from a wallet or exchange that supports that exact network. After the transfer confirms, your available USDG appears under Cash in the account tab. You will also need a small amount of the chain's native ETH to pay gas for your own transactions. See QR deposits and wrong-asset prevention.
A "Connect exchange" button is present and disabled: no exchange integration exists.
Use Cash#
Card, Apple Pay, Cash App and Google Pay purchases through an on-ramp are listed and every one is disabled with "Coming soon" or "Integration pending". No provider is configured, no delivery route for USDG on Robinhood Chain has been verified, and the panel says the option opens only once that verification exists. On test networks it says the option is unavailable there. See Unavailable providers.
Approvals and positions#
Your first position may require two wallet requests: permission for the contract to use USDG, then the transaction that creates your position. Check the amount and contract before approving. If you decline, the flow stops; an approval alone does not create a position.
The order book has a separate exchange balance. Deposit into it before placing funded orders and withdraw available collateral when you need it. This balance is separate from money committed to pool positions. See Order book.
