Venues#

The pot / the pool — the pool venue. One pool of USDG per outcome; winners get their own money back plus a weighted share of the losing pools. Contract name StampedePool. See Pool markets.

The board / the book — the order-book venue for outcome shares. Contract name RinoExchange. Not deployed publicly. See Order book.

Charge — the interface's verb for posting USDG on an outcome in the pool.

Combo — one fully collateralised ticket across two to eight binary markets that wins only if every selected outcome wins. See Combos.

Positions and money#

USDG — Global Dollar, the settlement asset. Six decimals. The settlement asset for the configured mainnet venues; test builds use test collateral.

Principal — the USDG you put into a market. On a win it always comes back; on a void it always comes back; on a loss it is what you lose.

Weight / earliness multiplier — the multiplier applied to a pool position by the time it arrived: flat at 1 + λ through the opening plateau, decaying cubically to 1.00 at the cut-off. It affects how much of the losing pool a winning position receives.

Plateau — the opening period of a market during which the weight is flat and a par exit is allowed.

Par exit — withdrawing a pool position for its full principal, allowed only inside the plateau and only once per market per account.

Late window — the final part of a market, once less than 30% of the earliness premium is left, during which an account's remaining capacity is a quarter.

Capacity — the most one account may hold in one market, set by tier and risk class and further bounded by the venue's escrow caps. The market page names the binding bound.

Share / crowd — an outcome's principal as a fraction of the pot. Not a probability.

Frozen-pot quote — what a position would pay if the pools stayed exactly as they are now. Provisional by definition.

Publish gate — the five conditions (500 USDG, two funded outcomes, five participants, no position over 60%, open one hour) under which a share is shown at all.

Realised P/L — claims less principal and fees, and total losses at settlement. Nothing else.

Tokens and tiers#

RINO — the access token. Locked for capacity and discount; never collateral; not deployed.

The vault — the contract locked RINO sits in. No market slashing. A configured emergency authority can permanently freeze operations and evacuate backing.

TWALB — the time-weighted average locked balance over seven days. Your tier reads min(TWALB, balance now).

Tier — GRAZER, CALF, BULL, CHARGER, HERD, JUGGERNAUT: 0.6, 2.4, 9.6, 30, 72 and 120 basis points of supply.

Lock cap — 20,000,000 RINO per account, separate from the 12,000,000 RINO top-tier threshold.

Peak tripwire — dropping below 80% of your own high-water mark blocks re-promotion for seven days.

Creation#

Template — a governed question shape with bounds on every parameter. Registered by governance behind a fourteen-day notice; append-only.

Series — a template with parameters bound and a cadence attached; one bond and one fee for the series; instances do not repeat them.

Bond — the refundable USDG a creator posts: 25, 50, 75 or 250 by class.

Creation fee — 2 USDG at launch, sent to the fee router.

Restricted template / curator — a template only curators may create from. The restriction can be removed by governance once and never re-applied.

Petition — a public request to seat a token, or a market question, with a seven-day notice and backing weighed in locked RINO.

Proposal — a wallet-signed, off-chain request submitted from the propose form. Creates nothing.

Resolution#

Lane — how a market gets its answer: chain read, attested, optimistic or committee, fixed by the template's settlement timer.

Risk class — A, B, C, D or F; sets the fee rate (2%, 4%, 5%, 7%, 0%) and the capacity row.

Evidence — a content hash, a URI and a fetch time, committed to the evidence registry and linked to a market before any answer can be written.

Settlement timer — published lane timing metadata; actual waits depend on the resolver: 60 seconds, 15 minutes, 24 hours or 48 hours.

Resolution deadline (tRes) — the earliest an answer may be written; one hour to thirty days after the cut-off.

Void — a market that pays every participant back their principal at zero fee.

Backstop — the permissionless void anyone may trigger seven days after the resolution deadline.

Stages and modes#

Stage — Demo, Local, Testnet, Staging or Production; fixed when the interface is built.

Preview mode — what a money control does when the contracts are not deployed on the build's chain: it shows the exact call and states nothing was sent.

Fixture — typed sample data. Check the data-source status before treating a sample as an actual balance or event.
